The Community Family Preservation Program

Field PictureIn 2001, CAA became the first Asian community-based agency in L.A. County to form a family preservation network.  As the lead agency for the Southeast Asian/Pacific Islander Community Family Preservation Network, CAA oversees the work of our partner agencies as they provide in-home counseling, teaching and demonstration courses, parenting training, and many supportive services to families in danger of losing their children to foster care.

CAA has been part of other family preservation networks since 1993, providing services exclusively to Cambodian and Vietnamese families.  Through this contract with the Department of Children and Family Services, CAA is able to provide services to families of all ethnicities, including Filipino, Samoan, and Hispanic families.
